Joe Mayer and John Moran exhibit at TCVAC during May

The Talbot County Visual Art Center is pleased to announce that Joe Mayer
and John Moran will both exhibit in the TCVAC Gallery during the month of
May. There will be an opening reception at the center during the First
Friday Gallery Walk on May 2nd from 5 to 8pm. As always the public is
invited to the center.

Joe is a very popular artist and teacher. His work is well known and
appreciated by art lovers. His paintings have been exhibited at the
Baltimore Museum of Art, Corcoran Gallery, Washington County Museum and many
commercial galleries from Maine to California. He received the Bronze Medal
in 2005 and the Richeson award in 2007 at the Mid-Atlantic Watercolor Show.
He is represented by Gallery 1683 in Annapolis, MD, and at his Studio
Gallery in Easton on South Street.

John Moran has won numerous awards including: Graduating Master’s
Commencement Speaker, Maryland Institute College of Art; Candidate for the
Joan Mitchell MFA Grant, New York, 2006; 2004 Honorable Mention, Winter
Juried Exhibition, Maryland Federation of Art; 2003 Juror’s Choice Award,
Winter Juried Exhibition, Maryland Federation of Art; Gold Medal Winner 2002
Mid-Atlantic Regional, Baltimore Watercolor Society; 2002 Best in Show,
Chestertown Art League 54th Open Juried Show; 2001 Juror’s Choice Award,
Easton Academy At Museum Members’ Exhibition; and the 1998 Barth Award for
Best Watercolor, Washington Society of Landscape Painters Annual Members
Exhibition.
