TCVAC February Newsletter

The 'Art of Barn Quilts' Art Talk was a huge success—the audience filled the main gallery—close to 50 people were in attendance. The program by Dolores Andrew was interesting on many levels—just plain art , Amish art, the history of quilts, evolution of design and explaining that creativity knows no limits.
Huge THANK YOU To Rose Doster for organizing the event!

News Flash—Story in the Washington Post—1/22/10
" For D.C. art activists , a buried treasure"—a group of Washington DC artists is seeking to turn a long-abandoned trolley station under Dupont Circle into galleries. Architect Julian Hunt envisions a series of galleries, 25 feet below the earth, called Dupont Underground. Members of the DC council says the proposal has support from the neighborhood commission, citizens association and local businesses.

Could this mean, dare I say, that TCVAC is on the cutting edge! Our "underground" space is affordable and a fabulous venue for exhibitions, lectures and workshops. So feel proud and let your friends and visitors know about TCVAC and our events.
