TCVAC September Newsletter

We have had a wonderful year at the center hosting numerous workshops, art talks, exhibitions, open studio series and art events for the public, including children. We have been busy fulfilling our stated aim – to enrich the community through art. We sincerely hope that you will continue to support us in promoting the work of local artists. Membership renewal request letters went out last month and if you haven’t sent yours in yet please do so. If you became a member later than the July/August 2009 sign up you will receive a notice when your one year membership is up for renewal and not now.

Our annual members’ meeting is in November. At this meeting additional new board members will be voted in. We need suggestions from you, our members, as to who you think would be a great addition to our board. Please give it some thought. Let us know if you are interested or your suggestion and the Nominating Committee we will follow up.

IMPORTANT correction and changes

Drop off date: Drop off work for exhibit ‘Work from St. Michaels Art League on Wednesday September 8 from 10 – 2 (NOT Tuesday- September 7)

Exhibits

The October exhibit will now be ‘Seven Sisters’ Quilts’ and not ‘Miniature Quilts’.

The Nov/Dec exhibits will just be titled ‘Members’ Winter Show’ and not with the tag ’....Celebrate the Eastern Shore’.

Remember - The GIFT SHOP is open - what could be a finer gift than a piece of art from a local artist? There are small items to fit any budget! Artists are welcome to submit their work for sale in the shop.

Exhibits are open Wed - Sat 11 - 4. First Friday receptions are held from 5 - 8
